Progression Between Grades Or Between Steps Within The Same Grade

When they have completed a specified time frame in a minimum acceptable way, permanent workers that are not at the tenth stage of their grade are often eligible for step increments. In a typical progression that lasts the duration of 52 weeks (one year) elapse between the steps of 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4. Then the 104-week period (two years) are elapsed between steps 4-5, 5-6, and 6-7, and finally after that, up to 156 weeks (three years) are elapsed between the steps of 8-9, 7-8 and 9-10, till the last level is reached in the 10th step. A “quality step increase” (“QSI”), on contrary, could be offered to employees in the recognition of outstanding performance in their job. A QSI increases the employee by one step within-grade, regardless of of time they spent at the previous step.
